Tailwheel Training

We are one of the few organisations left with a tailwheel available for hire and training for our members and students.

Our 160 hp Super Cub BNM  fits the cub stereotype being legendary for its characteristics as an honest machine that is not too hard but not too easy to fly, making it the ideal machine to attain your initial tailwheel type rating on.

An initial rating in our Cub will take between 7 and 12 hours
depending on the students ability. You will be taught 3-point, wheeler and crosswind take-off and landing
techniques.

Aerobatic and Spin Recovery Training

We offer aerobatic training in our awesome fully aerobatic Alpha A160a trainers. Our instructors are competent in all normal aerobatic manoeuvers and even some advanced ones.

Aerobatic training consists of a ground course and dual and solo flying. You will learn loops, rolls, barrell rolls, spinning and stall turns.

Adding an aerobatic rating to your skill set will definitely make you a safer pilot in your everyday flying.
For those that don't want to complete a full rating, you can just complete Spin Recovery and Avoidance training to make you a safer pilot.
